    Take advantage to meet industry experts and connecting with Lane and VDOT representatives. Bring your entrepreneurial spirit and learn how to meet essential requirements for procurement, participating at Lane Safety Program, Design Build Reporting for VDOT compliance.

    Lane Construction is offering training courses on November 13, 2018 at the Nannie J Lee Center located at 1108 Jefferson St Alexandria, VA 22314.

    Who should attend: Anyone working for or desiring to work for Lane Construction or on any VDOT project.

    TIme: There will be a morning session that runs from 9:00 – 12:30. The courses will repeat for an evening session that will run from 2:00 – 5:30.

    You DO NOT need to sign up for both sessions as they are the same topics repeated. Choose the time frame that works best for you.

    The training topics include:

    • OSHA & Lane’s Safety Program
    • Design Build Reporting for VDOT
    • Compliance Reporting

    * Refreshments will be served during both sessions.

    Cost: There is NO COST. However, registration is required.

    This event is being supported by the Northern Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Alexandria Workforce Development Center, and the Virginia Department of Transporation and is a result of requests from the 395 Community Resource Board.

    • Alignment of solicitation requirements

    This is for solicitations that have a qualifications / technical component to them – not just hard bid. Learn about the differentiators and to include them in response. Keep in mind, saying your have XX years of experience, for example, is not a differentiator.

    As principal of Andana Consulting, Carrie Ann Williams, CPSM works with organizations to guide proposal development and create amazing content. Carrie Ann has more than 15 years of experience successfully tracking, pursuing, proposing, and winning local, state, and federal contracts in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C), environmental and IT. Through her knowledge of the full lifecycle of government consulting, Carrie Ann has supported hundreds of government proposals and contracts as a Marketing Director, Proposal Manager, and Project Manager for several A/E/C organizations. She advises firms on market research, overall strategy, and marketing tactics and speaks on marketing topics nationwide to organizations including SAME, SMPS, AIA, and NVSBE. Carrie Ann is active with Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) where she is co-chair for the national STEM Committee, is currently an Elected Director for SAME Baltimore Post.
